South Korean electronics maker Samsung has announced the launch date of the Galaxy Note 10 smartphone. The chaebol has confirmed that the Galaxy Note 10 will be launched on 7 August at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York City at 4 pm EDT. This means that the launch event will go live in India at 1:30 am IST on 8 August.
The upcoming smartphone is expected to come with a larger display with a cutout notch similar to the Galaxy S10 5G. The launch poster of the Note 10 shows an S-Pen and camera, hinting at some major improvements in both.
According to an IANS report, Samsung is likely to skip the standard 3.5-mm headphone jack and even physical keys for functions like volume and power on its upcoming Galaxy Note 10.
We can also expect the 2019-spec Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and a TB of storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was also launched in August last year at a price tag of ₹ 84,900 for the top-of-the-line 8GB/512GB variant. It comes with a 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED ‘Infinity Display’ with a resolution of 2960 x 1440. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
On the photography front, the Note 9 comes with 12MP+12MP dual-rear camera setup. Both rear cameras feature optical image stabilisation. For clicking selfies, it has an 8MP front facing camera.
Other key features of the smartphone include wireless charging and IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. Connectivity options include USB Type-C, NFC, 3.5mm audio port, Bluetooth 5.0 ad 4G LTE and Wi-Fi. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.
