Samsung Galaxy Fold is not getting a discount in the offline retail stores in India. Earlier this week a report suggested that Samsung’s foldable display smartphone – the Samsung Galaxy Fold – which was launched in India in October this year for Rs 1,64,999 would be getting a discount of Rs 7,000 when purchased via the brick-and-mortar stores in the country.

However, Samsung tells us that it is offering no such discount on the purchase of the Samsung Galaxy Fold in India. This means that the Korean electronic giant’s foldable display phone still costs Rs 1.65 lakhs in the country. This is true for phones purchased via both, online and offline channels.

In case you aren’t sure about the phone’s details, here is a quick recap for you. The Samsung Galaxy Fold comes with a 7.3-inch full rectangular dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 2152 x 1536 pixel and a folded 4.6-inch super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1680 pixels. It is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9825 processor, which is coupled with 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage space. It runs on Android 9 with Samsung’s user interface on top.

As far as the camera is concerned, the Galaxy Fold comes with a total of six cameras — 12MP regular lens, a 16MP ultra wide angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. On the front, the phone has a 10MP selfie camera and an 8MP depth sensing. There is also a 10MP lens in the front above the 4.6-inch screen. The phone features comes with a dual battery that measures a total of 4,380mAh. It is available in India in Cosmos Black and Space Silver colour variants and it ships with Galaxy Buds that cost Rs 9,990 when purchased separately.
