Natick police search for computer thief

NATICK – Police are searching for two men they said stole a $2,500 computer from a Natick Mall store late last year.

On Friday, police released a video on their Facebook page of one of the suspects stealing the computer in the hope that someone will recognize him.

Police did not identify the store. Police typically do not release the names of stores in their videos on Facebook because they say it could affect the investigation.

According to the posting, the two men went into the store in late November. While one of them distracted store employees, the second took a Microsoft Surface Book 2, value at just less than $2,500, and slipped it under his jacket and left the store.

The suspect who stole the computer is described as a black man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 210 pounds.

Police ask that anyone who can identify the suspect to call the Natick Police Department’s detective bureau at 508-647-9520. Anonymous reports can be made at www.natickma.gov/201/Online-Reporting.
