Apple is slated to release the next iteration of its iPhone later this year. Ahead of its official launch, the iPhone 11 or the iPhone XI (or whatever else they are calling it these days) has been constant subject of rumours and speculations, most of which indicate that the phone is going to sport a triple camera setup at the back that was housed in a square camera bump. And now, a new image has once again hinted towards the Apple iPhone 11 sporting a triple rear camera setup.
Serial tipster Slashleaks, shared an image of the upcoming iPhone XI and its bigger variant – the iPhone XI Max – on Twitter. The image shared by the tipster is essentially of the mold that would possibly be used by the third-party manufacturers for case production. The image shows the backside of the two upcoming iPhones with a camera bump, the Apple logo and the iPhone logo. The mold layout is similar to the previous leaks which indicate that the Cupertino, California based company would upgrade its camera setup in its 2019 iPhone to include a three cameras at the back that would be place in a square-shaped layout.
Separately, a Weibo user, who goes by the name engage in machine on the platform, shared images of both, the front and back side of the mold. The front image shared on the platform indicates that Apple’s 2019 iPhones would come with a notch that is similar to the one on the 2018 iPhones, which includes the Apple iPhone XR, iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max.
Meanwhile, noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo last week in his predictions for Apple 2019 iPhone lineup said that the company was planning to upgrade the 7MP camera in the front to a 12MP camera. This upgrade would not only be witnessed in the 2019’s top iPhone model but it would also permeate through the lower models – possibly the iPhone XR 2 as well. He also said that Apple would add a brand new 12MP superwide angle lens to the rumoured triple rear camera setup this year. Other than that Kuo hasn’t spilled any beans about the upcoming iPhone 11 and we will have to wait till the company officially unveils the device in the fall this year to know more about it.
